With a simple vision: to provide the Port Stephens community with honest, reliable and top-quality car care. JL Mechanical Services first opened its doors as a small workshop in Salamander Bay. As we grew, we evolved to meet the needs of our community. We expanded our workshop and our team to take on more than just basic servicing and repairs.
Today, we handle a wide range of routine maintenance, including logbook servicing to keep your new car warranty valid and essential safety inspections like rego checks, pink slips and blue slips.
For those unexpected issues or major repairs, we have you covered too! Our mechanics are experienced in everything from brake and clutch repairs to engine overhauls and transmission replacements.
We also offer specialised services for your convenience, including suspension and steering repairs, exhaust system work, tyre services and wheel alignments and caravan and trailer maintenance.
With over 24 years of experience in the industry, Luke is known for his dedication, resilience and skill, showcasing expertise in various areas, including LPG, light automotive repairs and RMS inspections. His well-rounded knowledge ensures JL Mechanical provides top-tier services across a wide range of automotive needs. When he’s not leading a thriving operation with a talented team of nine staff members, you can find him squid fishing, practising martial artsor weightlifting.

That’s why we’re proud to offer apprenticeship opportunities to local youth, providing hands-on experience and mentorship to help them launch a rewarding career in the automotive industry.
